UMFST's Sustainability Policy University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology "George Emil Palade" of Tîrgu Mureș (UMFST) is committed to promoting sustainability. Concern for the environment and promoting a broader sustainability agenda are integral to UMFST's professional activities and the management of the university. We aim to follow and to promote good sustainability practice, to reduce the environmental impacts of all our activities and to help our students and stakeholders to do the same. Principles Our Sustainability Policy is based upon the following principles: • We are socially and environmentally responsible and economically viable; • We comply with, and exceed where practicable, all applicable legislation, regulations and codes of practice; • We ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it; • We use natural resources responsibly and are actively working towards a more sustainable resource and energy efficient supply chain; • We minimise the impact on sustainability of all office and transportation activities; • We are committed to reducing the ecological footprint of UMFST!; • We report annually and continually strive to improve our sustainability performance; • We make our staff, students, stakeholders and suppliers are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy, and encourage them to adopt sound sustainable management practices
